Hospice of Humboldt (HoH) was the fortunate recipient of Humboldt County Fog Dogs motorcycle club’s 18th annual pool tournament. This popular event was held on Saturday, May 13 at Louie’s Sports Bar.
“Dozens of people showed up to play pool and many businesses supported this event with amazing prizes for the silent auction.” said Tia Baratelle, director of development, Hospice of Humboldt. “It was so much fun and we are so grateful for all the support we have received from the Fog Dogs!”
All of the proceeds from their event will benefit compassionate care in Humboldt County. On Saturday, July 8, the Fog Dogs road up on their motorcycles to personally present the check in front of the Ida Emmerson Hospice House. “We love it when they come visit our campus, they bring so much joy and their kind spirits are infectious.” said Dianne Keating, CEO, Hospice of Humboldt. “Truly a very special thank you to the Fog Dogs from all of us at HoH.”
“We love putting on the pool tournament every year.” said Fog Dogs President, Tim Farabi. “It is our way of giving back to our community by providing the proceeds of our event to different local organizations. This year we were proud to again raise funds for Hospice of Humboldt; we are so fortunate to have them providing care in our community. Like so many of us in Humboldt County, some of our Fog Dogs and their families have been personally helped by Hospice of Humboldt.”
