The Hospice House RN provides nursing care for patients living in the new Ida Emmerson Hospice House in-patient facility. The Nurse actively participates in the coordination of all aspects of patient care. The ideal applicant will enjoy working in a team-environment and have a passion for Hospice’s mission. Candidates must have a current California Registered Nurse license and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. The Hospice House Support Assistant prepares food for patients residing in the Ida Emmerson Hospice House (IEHH) and maintains the cleanliness of the facility. The position also provides general support to the IEHH patient care staff, including answering phones, greeting visitors and sitting with patients. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, an excellent driving record, proof of acceptable automobile insurance coverage, and reliable transportation. This is a benefited position. Schedule: Full-Time (30 hours/week)
The Hospice Aide provides personal care for patients in their place of residence (homes, skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities) and assists with their activities of daily living. Qualified applicants must possess a current CNA license and have or be willing to obtain HHA certification. Candidates must also have a valid driver’s license, an excellent driving record, proof of acceptable automobile insurance coverage, and reliable transportation. This is a benefited position. Schedule: 4 days (32 hours/week)
The Social Worker assesses and responds to the psycho-social, practical, financial, and legal concerns of Hospice patients and family members. Social work services are provided to Hospice patients and family member in their place of residence, including homes, residential care and skilled nursing facilities, and the Ida Emmerson Hospice House. This position works on an as-needed basis and must have the ability to adapt to schedule changes and high priority patient needs. Qualified candidates must have a master degree in Social Work (MSW) and two years of social work experience in the health care field. Schedule: Per Diem
The Dietitian, in cooperation the interdisciplinary care team, implements individualized nutritional care plans appropriate for patients with advanced disease in order to maximize their comfort. This position also plays an important role in the agency’s compliance with state and federal regulations, quality assurance and performance improvement. The Dietitian works on an as-needed basis and must have the ability to adapt to schedule changes and high priority patient needs. Qualified candidates must have a bachelor degree in nutrition or a related field, experience in dietary counseling and a Registered Dietitian license or equivalent proficiency. Schedule: Per Diem
