For loved ones of patients and for the entire community. Grief support staff and volunteers understand that each person’s reaction to grief is unique. Most of us have the capacity to mourn fully with the help of friends, family, and community who care about us and want us to recover our ability to enjoy life fully and love others. Sometimes though, it might be difficult to find people who are willing to listen to our hurt in a nonjudgmental and comforting way. We are able to provide extra support in addition to your existing support system. For more information, click here.
We Can Help. Our staff and volunteers are able to provide:
- Private, confidential grief support visits.
- Written materials and on-line resources specific to your unique needs.
- Referrals for local counselors who work with grief and loss.
Grief Support Groups are a great opportunity to meet others with whom you can exchange emotional support and ideas on coping with the death of a loved one. Open to the public, free of charge.
