The Hospice Shop has several fun events during the year. (Check our calendar to find out event dates.) The Shop saves merchandise and clothing for Halloween and puts it out for sale starting in October. The annual Holiday Open House is held the first Saturday in December. Special Christmas items such as holiday clothing, decorations, and holiday gifts including toys are available.

Staff & Volunteers

The shop is managed by a full-time Shop Manager and a group of about 30 wonderful volunteers. Volunteers work a four-hour shift during the Shop’s regular business hours and provide help with clerking, bagging, sewing, laundry, sorting, making displays, and much more. The benefits of volunteering are the personal rewards of working with friendly staff, volunteers and customers; but most rewarding is the sense of helping support Hospice of Humboldt services to the terminally ill.
