She graduated from Humboldt State University and has worked in health care administration for over 27 years, including work in rural health clinics, specialty practice, and hospital-based practices. She is currently the Chief Quality Improvement Officer for Humboldt Open Door Community Health Centers and lives in Eureka.

Ms. Hatch is currently a nurse practitioner celebrating over thirty years at Six Rivers Planned Parenthood. She received her masters in Nursing and is an active member of multiple health organizations. She resides in Eureka.
Roger Hawkins, term expires April 2014
Mr. Hawkins, a native of Humboldt County and a graduate of Humboldt State University, has been a Certified Public Accountant for the past thirty two years. He received his bachelor's degree in Accounting in 1979 and CPA certificate in 1982. He received a Lifetime Community College Credential in 1989. Mr. Hawkins has served on the Eureka Falcons Baseball League Board of Directors for the past thirty years. He enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting. He resides in Eureka.

Ms. Jordan has been a volunteer with Hospice Shop for the past eight years. She has a degree in Nursing and also has worked in nursing administration. She has been involved with hospital consultation and as a JCAHO surveyor. Ms. Jordan is retired and lives in Bayside.

Ms. Minor has a bachelor's degree in Economics and has worked for law offices for many years. She has had numerous years experience on local non profit boards. She also enjoys living in Arcata near the organic farm where she is a member and where she picks up her share of vegetables every week during the growing season.

Ms. Richmond comes to the Hospice Board with many years of experience in academia and has a doctorate in Biology. Both of her parents were served by a hospice. She is retired and lives in Bayside.

Mr. Smullin is currently the Executive Director of St. Vincent de Paul. Previously he was involved in the broadcast industry for over thirty years. Ms. Stewart was elected to the Arcata City Council and served as Mayor. She has been involved in dozens of community projects throughtout Humboldt County. Currently Ms. Stewart is the Executive Director at the California Center for Rural Policy at Humboldt State University. She has worked with end of life care issues while working as the senior field representative for former Assemblywoman Patty Berg. She lives in Arcata.
